The Story
I love this hat, I made it for a very special person.
He’s a painter.
I ummed and ahhed about putting this on the website.
Not everyone paints.
It’s a very personal hat. But aren’t they all? I’ve bled so much into them. I also realised that the painting is a metaphor, not everyone paints. Some people write others draw, some bake others mold clay. The paintbrush is your craft.
Some people are living their craft, for others it’s a hobby or maybe just a dream? Whatever it is, sometimes we need a muse. Just a little sparkler under your butt to push you into the unknown. That might be publishing your work. Cooking for some friends. It’s putting yourself out there, vulnerable as hell offering your work up to the world to criticise you.
Fortune favors the bold I guess.
This hat, for me, represents the internal inspiration, that push, the drive we need to move on with our lives, turning that dream into a reality, Or maybe it’s just something you can wear when your out to judge the hell out of everyone. No one will question you because you look like a famous artist in your handmade hat.
