Simple and sophisticated. I love to dress trashy. Most of my clothes are picked up at thrift shops OR are loans from friends.
So I dress pretty casually, yeah, stop beatin’ round the bush… I look like a bum.
Sticking this on my head makes it all come together. It’s the reason I’m not kicked out of restaurants, although they still ask for my credit card upfront.
Although more than occasionally the barista will look down from his nose and ask me where I got the hat from? I usually leap into a random storey about…
”an Albino Farmer who promised me a bunch of wheat for a hat. What a deal I thought only a fool would pass on this!
But the Farmer burned me, he took my wheat and left shop. I was so bummed that I had to go home and try to replicate the hat I’d made for him. But it paled in comparison. So, I made THIS as a TRIBUTE to the hat I’d made for him. There’s always a silver lining I guess is the lesson to learn.” I mumble to the barista.
To be honest, I don’t even know if he’s still listening to my tale BUT what I do know is I definitely talked myself out of a sale.
I guess that’s a good thing too, I kinda like that my hat is a one-of-a-kind.
Silver linings, they’re everywhere.
It’s funny what a hat can do for you, dress it up or dress it down, be a classy Vagabond or impress your barista.
If you ever see that Albino Farmer let him know I still want my wheat. But he can keep the hat, I kinda like mine, hats have a funny way of growin’ on you….
